The NFL Draft has come and gone.
Overall, Tennessee had four players selected to join the pros.
The biggest name of note was on Thursday when James Pearce was taken 26th overall by the Atlanta Falcons.
Over the weekend, three of his teammates — Omarr Norman-Lott, Dont’e Thornton, and Dylan Sampson — had their names called as well.
Norman-Lott was drafted 63rd overall in the second round by the Kansas City Chiefs, Thornton was taken 108th overall in the fourth round by the Las Vegas Raiders, and Dylan Sampson was picked 126 overall in the fourth round by the Cleveland Browns.
It was the second time in three years that UT produced at least four draft picks through the first four rounds.
Tennessee was one of five programs nationally in this draft with multiple defensive linemen chosen through the first two rounds, joining Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Texas A&M — according to UTSports.com.
Additionally, three other Vols from last season’s team have been picked up as undrafted free agents.
Omari Thomas signed with the New Orleans Saints, Elijah Simmons signed with the Arizona Cardinals, and Will Brooks signed with the Chiefs.
Hopefully some of these guys will make the roster.
