Vols Wednesday Availability Report: Alabama
By Tucker Harlin
The first availability report for Tennessee’s contest against Alabama released Wednesday evening.
Let’s start with the Tennessee side.
The biggest development this week is Keenan Pili’s torn ACL, a devastating blow to the linebacking group. The other two listed as out have been out several weeks now.
The other two names on the report for Tennessee are Cam Seldon and Lance Heard.
Seldon missed time in September and has dealt with a couple of different injuries in the last year. He was absent from the report in each of the last two weeks but is now listed as questionable.
Heard was absent from the report last week and is now listed as probable. If you’re absent from the report that means you’re playing, so Heard’s appearance this week is puzzling.
Let’s shift to Alabama.
Linebackers Cayden Jones and Yhonzae Pierre are listed as out and questionable respectively. Neither have contributed heavily this season for the Tide.
The probables are of greater interest.
Corner Domani Jackson was carted off the field last week but returned to action in the second half for Alabama. Receivers Kendrick Law and Kobe Prentice are important contributors who have missed time lately, so appearing as probable on the report is a good sign for Alabama.
