Tennessee cornerback Rickey Gibson is expected to practice in the spring.

The Vol defensive back is expected to participate when spring practice begins Friday, according to knoxnews.com.

Knox News said it had a source “with direct knowledge” of the situation.

Gibson had reportedly previously planned to enter the transfer portal over an NIL negotiation.

Hopefully they’ve got everything worked out because UT is going to need Gibson on the field.

He had 32 tackles, five pass deflections, and a forced fumble last season as one of the Vols’ starting corners.

Opposite starting corner Jermod McCoy has a torn ACL but is reported to be on track to play in 2025.
