The Lady Vols have been eliminated from the SEC Women’s Tournament.
Tennessee lost to Vanderbilt 84-76 this afternoon in Greenville, S.C.
A big difference in today’s game was the foul disparity between the teams.
Tennessee was outscored 27-20 in the first quarter, then had a slight 13-12 edge in the second. UT dropped the third quarter 24-15 — the difference in the game — before making it interesting with a 28-21 fourth quarter edge.
Vanderbilt will move on to the quarterfinals of the tourney while UT prepares for the NCAAs.
We’ll find out where the Lady Vols are seeded in the “big dance” in the coming days.
Kim Caldwell’s squad has now lost three of their past four games after a great 21-6 start to the season.
Coach said her team is “tired” right now.
