Vols Flip Harmon Away from Alabama
By Tucker Harlin
An already important recruiting weekend for Tennessee ended with a catch that many didn’t have on their radars.
The Vols were able to land 2025 five star offensive lineman David Sanders Jr. on Saturday, and that was what fans had hoped for going into the weekend.
But rumors began percolating on Saturday night about an Alabama commit flipping to the Vols.
Sure enough, four star linebacker Jaedon Harmon from Rome, Georgia flipped his commitment from the Crimson Tide early Sunday afternoon.
I want to thank the entire Alabama staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play for a great great program! Respect my Decision #GBO🍊 @WilliamInge1 @coachjoshheupel https://t.co/SxxbjX7FXO

Flipping Harmon was an important win for Tennessee linebackers coach William Inge, who coached under Kalen DeBoer at Washington before DeBoer and company headed for Tuscaloosa.
Harmon joins three star and fellow Georgia native Christian Gass as the second linebacker in the Vols’ 2025 class.
The Vols are hoping Sanders and Harmon aren’t the last commitments they land in a weeklong span.
Four star corner Onis Konanbanny from South Carolina will make his decision on August 23. Konanbanny announced his top two schools were Florida State and Tennessee a few weeks ago, and both 247 Sports and On3 have Konanbanny as a heavy lean toward the Vols.
