Boo Carter Named to On3’s Freshman All-American Team

Tennessee defensive back Boo Carter was named to On3 Sports’ freshman All-American team Monday.
Carter’s anticipated playing time increased substantially when it was revealed starting nickel Jourdan Thomas would miss the season with a knee injury.

Carter was an important piece in Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class.
An instate commitment from Cleveland, Carter was valued not only for his skills as a returner but as a return man on special teams.
Carter is one of five SEC freshmen on the team, alongside South Carolina and Florida edge rushers Dylan Stewart and LJ McCray, Ole Miss defensive tackle William Echoles, and Texas A&M athlete Terry Bussey.
