They finally did the right thing. This will be the final update.
D1 Baseball has bent the knee and ranked the Tennessee Volunteers No. 1.
For weeks the publication has hung on to LSU at the top despite every other outlet giving the nod to the Vols.
But UT left them with no choice after this weekend’s action on the diamond.
Tennessee swept Florida, the No. 7 team in the country, and even run-ruled the Gators on Saturday.
The Vols (20-0, 3-0) opened conference play with a 5-3 win at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Friday and followed it up with a 10-0 mark in seven innings Saturday before winning 7-4 again Sunday.
Tennessee is the unanimous No. 1 team in all of the major college baseball polls.
They’ll play ETSU Tuesday at home before traveling to Alabama for a conference series with the Crimson Tide on Thursday through Saturday.
Here is the rest of the poll from D1 Baseball, which finally got it right.
