Willie Martinez has received a contract extension, according to knoxnews.com.

The Tennessee secondary coach’s previous contract expired on Jan. 31.

Thus, the extension. But no raise, apparently.

“Martinez’s pay remains at $540,000 with an extension through the 2026 season,” the knoxnews.com report states.

So most of Josh Heupel’s staff stays intact for 2025.

Martinez is coming off arguably his best year ever as a secondary coach. The Vols ranked No. 29 in pass defense nationally.
