Flag football is officially a part of the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The addition of flag football has naturally excited several fans over the possibility of seeing their favorite NFL players in the Olympics.

But not everybody is excited about the idea of NFL stars in the Olympics, particularly the players on the U.S. national flag football team.

Quarterback Darrell Doucette has been the most outspoken critic of this idea.

Doucette already spoke out against the idea once this week, but he took it a step further in a podcast on TMZ Sports as he called out consecutive Super Bowl champion quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

“At the end of the day, I feel like I’m better than Patrick Mahomes because of my IQ of the game,” Doucette said. “I know he’s the best in the league, I know he’s more accurate, I know he’s got all these intangibles. But when it comes to flag football, I feel like I know more than him.”

Mahomes had a response ready on social media.

Of course, we’ll have to wait another four years for the Olympics, so this issue could blow over.
