Trey Smith Trolls Sooner Teammates Over Loss to Tennessee

By Tucker Harlin

Jacoby Brissett isn’t the only alum of a Tennessee opponent who’s had to don the Pantone 151 C after the Vols beat his alma mater this season.

Three more were added to the list this week as VFL and Kansas City Chiefs guard Trey Smith took a video of three of his Oklahoma Sooner teammates wearing orange as Rocky Top played in the background.

Those teammates are: James Winchester, Creed Humphrey, and…. Wanya Morris.

Tennessee fans know a thing or two about Wanya Morris.

Smith and Morris both started on the offensive line for the Vols in 2019 and 2020. Smith was drafted in 2021 while Morris transferred to play for Lincoln Riley and Oklahoma along with running back Eric Gray and defensive back Key Lawrence. Morris even claims Tennessee in his NBC player intro for Sunday Night Football, so he feels right at home in the orange.

Humphrey was the Sooners’ starting center from 2018-20. He played for the Oklahoma teams with Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts that lost to Alabama and LSU in the College Football Playoffs.

Winchester is older than Morris and Humphrey, playing long snapper from 2009-11, the heart of the Landry Jones years for Oklahoma.

Jerod Mayo hasn’t made Rhamondre Stevenson wear orange (yet), but there is a pair of players from Arkansas that he could troll if the Vols get the win over the Hogs in two weeks.
