Nate Ament Might Be The Top Player In The Whole Damn Country

You could make a case for it — Tennessee has signed the top college basketball player in the United States of America.

Now as it stands, he’s only second-best. Right behind BYU commit AJ Dybantsa.

That’s according to On3’s final 2025 update of their top 150 player rankings.

Ament ranks ahead of Duke’s top commit, Cameron Boozer. Ahead of top Kansas commit Darryn Peterson. Ahead of top North Carolina commit Calen Wilson.

Ahead of everyone but Dybantsa.

So yeah, he may not be No. 1. But No. 2 ain’t too bad. It’s close enough to argue for No. 1.

He was already the highest-ranked player UT has ever signed. And now he’s ranked even higher.
