Tennessee Basketball has picked up a much-needed guard out of the transfer portal.
The Vols landed Louisiana Tech transfer Amaree Abram on Tuesday afternoon.
Abram is a 6-foot-4 junior who averaged 12.3 points per game this past season with the Bulldogs. He started all 32 games with Tech and managed to shoot over 37 percent from three.
Abram began his career at Ole Miss — where he started 22 of 33 games throughout the 2022-23 season. He then played one additional season at Georgia Tech before transferring to Louisiana Tech.
He’ll have two years of eligibility left, according to On3.
Tennessee previously added two other transfer portal players this offseason including Vanderbilt’s Jaylen Carey and Maryland’s Ja’Kobi Gillespie.
