Is It Time To Kick Vanderbilt Out Of The SEC?
By Cody McClure
It’s time to kick Vanderbilt out of the SEC.
At least that’s what CBS Sports’ Josh Pate says. And this guy is a prominent voice.
Pate is the host of a national college football show and is using his platform to say the Commodores don’t belong.
He also thinks he should be the commissioner of college football. Some people agree with him. Some don’t.
Anyway, Pate said the following on X:
“When I am CFB Commissioner these are your new conferences via executive order day 1 …”
He went on to list the SEC teams as Ole Miss, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, and LSU.
Ten teams just like the old days but without one of its oldest members.
It’s one thing to kick out the expansion teams — Mizzou, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and the Texas schools — but Vandy?
Poor Vandy?
The ‘Dores have been a punching bag, seemingly forever, but that’s because they’ve been here forever.
And it’s nice to have some built in wins in every single sport every single year until the end of time.
So I believe it is wrong to kick them out. Keep Vandy forever.
