High School Basketball Team Quits And Storms Off To Bus Mid-Game
By Cody McClure
At least one Kentucky team walked off a basketball court in disappointment recently.
Just not last night. Am I right? Ha. Typing through it.
A high school team from Powell County, Kentucky has gone viral for storming off the court in the middle of a game.
Apparently there was a fight in the second quarter of a game which led to Powell County’s bench being ejected from the game.
All but one player was ejected for coming on to the playing floor.
Then later on in the second quarter, down 46-23, they all decided to just leave.
Apparently the coach got a technical, there was another bit of a skirmish, and tensions were just too high.
So Powell County said “see ya!”
“What are we doing? I can’t believe we’re doing this!” the announcer said. “They have put their backpacks on. They have packed up shop and are leaving!”
“What an absolute extreme unsportsmanlike move … I mean, all they were doing was fighting for the ball. The official is not gonna let this crap go.”
These boys decided to just head on to the bus and go home. Gotta respect it.
