“Hi. Thanks for recruiting me. My family would like to meet you.”

“OK great. Should I come by your house?”

“We were actually thinking you could come over and see our family business!”

“No problem. Sounds good.”

BOOM RECRUITING VIOLATION.

The NCAA is so stupid with their rules. Rules they can hardly even enforce anymore.

Let us be, NCAA.

Anyway, the Lady Vols were turned in by an opposing team for “recruiting violations.”

Even though other schools had already broken the same rule.

It was an assistant coach for Kim Caldwell’s program that was turned in for an “incident” in October.

A prospect reportedly asked the UT assistant to meet her at her family’s private business during a recruiting visit rather than her home or school, according to knoxnews.com.

Apparently that is a rules violation — albeit a minor one. It is a Level III infractions. A slap on the wrist.

A UT compliance report stated that coaches from two other universities had previously visited the prospect at the same location.

The prospect and her family preferred that setting rather than their home, so coaches obliged, knoxnews.com reported.

Apparently then a photo of the prospect and UT assistant coach turned up on social media and some rival school turned in the Lady Vols.

Kim Caldwell has been tremendous on the recruiting trail. She’s already landed multiple McDonald’s All-Americans.
