A former Tennessee basketball coach is reportedly a strong candidate to become the GM for North Carolina.
On his radio show Monday, UNC basketball coach Hubert Davis reportedly announced plans to increase his staff with the Tar Heels.
Part of that is the need for a general manager for the program.
And guess who’s a “strong potential candidate according to multiple sources” to land the job …
Ole Buzz Peterson!
Been a while since we’ve heard that name seeing as how Vol Basketball has been mostly great for the last 20 years.
Peterson has recently served as the assistant GM for the Charlotte Hornets so perhaps he’s more qualified on the personnel side than he would be coaching.
He was not a good coach.
But he was Michael Jordan’s roommate. And that counts for a lot.
