‘Being Coached By The Best, You Get The Best’ Says Elijah Simmons

VFL defensive lineman Elijah Simmons is at the NFL scouting combine this week.
Along with five other Tennessee Vols.
On Thursday Simmons was interviewed by the media and had plenty of good things to say about Tennessee’s coaching staff.
Simmons specifically spoke highly of his position coach Rodney Garner and Levorn “Coach Chop” Harbin, who was recently promoted at Tennessee.
“Coach G, great guy man. Taught us a lot,” Simmons said. “How to be a man on and off the field. He’s one of those coaches that coached us real hard. A lot of players need that type of guy in the room.
“Coach Chop as well,” Simmons said. “He’s one of those guys that gets on us because he loves us. Him and Coach G. They love what we do and they know we can be successful at the next level so they always push us a lot to be successful.
“Being coached by the best, you get the best.”
