It’s been an important summer in Tennessee football recruiting and the Vols have a chance to end the summer with their most important piece left in the 2025 class.

Five star offensive line prospect David Sanders Jr. is making his decision August 17, juggling options between Tennessee, Nebraska, and Ohio State.

Steve Wiltfong of On3, one of the most trusted voice in the world of college football recruiting, has logged a prediction for Sanders to commit to the Vols next weekend.

Sanders attends Providence Day School in Charlotte, the old stomping grounds of Tennessee basketball star and current Charlotte Hornet Grant Williams. Williams has been an active voice in Sanders’ recruiting process.

Should Sanders decide to come to Knoxville, he would be the second 2025 commitment out of the Charlotte area as defensive lineman Charles House from North Mecklenburg.

Sanders would be the second commitment out of the state of North Carolina in three weeks with Faizon Brandon committing to the 2026 class out of Greensboro.
