We Have An Issue With Fan Voting For Defensive Player Of The Year

Fan voting is now open for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year.
Tennessee has two players up for the award — Zakai Zeigler and Jahmai Mashack.
That’s pretty cool, seeing as it’s the first time ever that two players from the same team have been nominated for the award in the same season.
The only problem is, because we have two finalists, our fan vote is being split.
We’ve got ourselves a Ross Perot situation.
As it stands now, Zeigler and Mashack make up nearly 58 percent of the total vote. It shows that Vol Nation is showing up big time.
But because Mashack is at 30 percent and Zeigler is at 28 percent, Creighton’s Ryan Kalkbrenner is leading the way as of this post.
Should we all collectively agree on one of the guys to vote for? Can we rally enough to get both players ahead of Kalkbrenner?
It’s actually a real issue because the fan vote does contribute to deciding the winner.
Are we going to Ross Perot ourselves? Jill Stein? Ralph Nader?
