Vols Wide Receiver Gives Back To His High School
By Cody McClure
A Tennessee football player appears to have given back to his former high school today.
Braylon Staley, who will be a sophomore wide receiver for the Vols this fall, presented a $6,000 check to Strom Thurmond Athletics in Johnston, South Carolina.
His father, Brian, posted a photo on X today of Braylon with, presumably, his former coaches.
Staley is expected to be a key contributor on the gridiron in 2025.
He was a consensus four-star recruit and rated as the No. 2 wide receiver in South Carolina coming out of high school.
In limited playing time this past season, he caught three passes for 21 yards.
