Tennessee now has the second-longest streak of weeks ranked in all of college basketball.
The Vols — with a run of 76 straight weeks — trail only Houston, which has been ranked for 102 straight weeks.
This comes as a result of Kansas getting blown out 91-57 last week at BYU. KU followed that performance up with a blowout win over Oklahoma State but that wasn’t enough.
The Jayhawks dropped out of the AP Top 25 for the first time since Feb. 8, 2021, according to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.
Kansas had a run of 80 consecutive weeks ranked.
“I thought we were awful,” Bill Self said after the loss last week.
I’d say so. Kansas started the season ranked No. 1. No more.
