There’s a new SEC Storied documentary coming soon and it’s one that Tennessee fans won’t want to miss.

It’s the story of Vol Basketball great Chris Lofton and his journey with cancer throughout his college career.

“SEC Storied: ‘Volunteer For Life’” will debut Monday, March 10 at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network and stream live on ESPN.

“This is an emotional story about the courage and perseverance in the face of tremendous adversity all focused with a team first attitude,” said director Shaun Silva. “I wanted viewers to experience Chris’s journey as he did, to feel every twist and emotional turn — through unimaginable pain, doubt, isolation, frustration and the heartbreaking disappointment he endured.”

Lofton was a fan favorite at Tennessee for his three-point shooting during a time that saw the Vols’ basketball program experience a resurgence under coach Bruce Pearl.

After being diagnosed with cancer at the end of his junior season, Lofton decided to fight his battle privately. He kept it nearly a total secret from teammates, fans, and media.

This documentary will take fans through the battle. It should be a good one.
