While news has been quite positive lately for Tennessee Basketball, today we take a hit of negativity.

Tennessee’s top remaining transfer portal target is headed to the west coast.

Not the first time we’ve lost a guy to the west coast, am I right?

Rodney Rice — the former Maryland shooting guard and teammate of Vol Ja’Kobi Gillespie — is headed to USC.

Rumors out there are swirling that the Trojans are paying him close to $5 million.

While the future looks extremely bright for Vol Hoops with the recent addition of 5-star Nate Ament and an established front court to go along with Gillespie, the fact remains:

This team still needs shooters.

Rice would have been a good one. Fight on, I guess.
