Vols Lose Offensive Line Commitment to Oregon
By Tucker Harlin
One time 2025 Tennessee offensive line commit Douglas Utu has officially flipped his commitment to Oregon.
I am excited to announce my commitment to the University of Oregon to further my academic and athletic career. Thank you to my family, coaches, teammates, and most importantly the the man above who supported me throughout this journey. Go Ducks! 🦆@BGOLcoach @wilson_utu @AneUtu pic.twitter.com/RHTvkeCb1R

Utu is a four star offensive lineman out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, the same high school former Vols wide receiver Trey Smith attended.
There were rumblings for Utu to flip his commitment coming out each of the last two weeks, but Utu made it official on Thursday.

With Utu’s decommitment, the Vols now have three offensive linemen in their current 2025 recruiting class.
The biggest fish of them all is David Sanders Jr., the consensus five star tackle who committed to the Vols in August out of the Charlotte area.
Additional commitments in the class include interior lineman Nic Moore and tackle Antoni Ogumoro. Moore is a local four star from Dandridge who chose the Vols over West Virginia and Vanderbilt, while Ogumoro is a three star out of Oklahoma who chose Tennessee over North Carolina and his instate school, Oklahoma.
