By Tucker Harlin
Tennessee’s win over Alabama isn’t the only it scored on the Yellowhammer State in the last week.
The Vols received a commitment from three star 2026 defensive lineman Tyson Bacon from the Birmingham area.

Bacon is originally from Detroit but moved to Hoover, where a certain former Tennessee coach once led the Buccaneers. He’s the fourth commit and the first defensive commit in the 2026 class, hoping to become a hidden Rodney Garner gem.
In the power four level, Bacon held offers from the Vols, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Florida.
Among those to congratulate Bacon was four star 2026 edge rusher Katrell Webb. As the summer recruiting season winded down, Webb was one of Tennessee’s top targets that had yet to commit somewhere.
