Vol Softball Has The Best Pitcher In The Country And It’s Not Close

Tennessee Softball pitcher Karlyn Pickens keeps piling up the accolades.
She just became the first student athlete to be named NFCA Pitcher of the Week three weeks in a row, according to 10 News.
A historical achievement.
Pickens went 2-0 over the past weekend as the Lady Vols won at Texas. She had two complete games and struck out 20 batters while allowing only two runs.
Vol Softball has a real chance to do something special this year.
They are the only team to take down both Oklahoma and Texas, which were the top two teams at the time of those respective series.
Pickens is the biggest reason for this team’s success.
In case you forgot, she also holds the record for the fastest softball pitch ever thrown.
Impressive.
