Former Tennessee quarterback Andy Kelly has been announced as a 2025 Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
Kelly was bestowed the honor on Monday by executive director Brad Willis, according to a release.
“Andy Kelly’s contributions to Tennessee football, both at the collegiate and professional levels, make him a true legend in our state’s sports history,” Willis said. “He was a leader on the field and remains a great ambassador for Tennessee football. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2025.”
Kelly played at Tennessee from 1988 to 1991 under Johnny Majors. He helped lead the Vols to a pair of SEC Championships in ‘89 and ‘90.
“He holds a special place in Tennessee football history for orchestrating one of the most dramatic comebacks in program history — a 35-34 win over Notre Dame in 1991, now famously known as the ‘Miracle at South Bend.’”
Kelly joins Ron Slay, Deon Grant, and Doug Matthews, among others, as inductees. The ceremony will take place July 19.
