A group of Tennessee baseball players apparently paid a visit to the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital today to visit a boy who is going through a difficult time.

In recent days, an X user, @brookemcdon16, who appears to be a big Tennessee baseball fan, asked Vol Nation for help in a post.

“One of my son’s friends had major lung surgery, he’s 8 years old,” Brooke said. “…He is needing his spirits lifted up … How can we get some Vol baseball players to visit?”

Brooke said the boy, Garrison (G-Money), plays baseball and loves the Vols.

Junior infielder Andrew Fischer replied to the post asking Brooke to send him a direct message to get a visit set up.

“Anyway we can help we would love to,” Fischer said.

Today it looks as though Vol Baseball came through for the young man:

Good stuff.

Brooke provided another update below.

We’re all pulling for you, G-Money.
