There has been recent speculation on whether Tennessee defensive coordinator Tim Banks would return for the 2025 football season.

It appears that he will, according to ESPN insider Chris Low.

Banks and Tennessee are reportedly finalizing a contract extension. The Vols’ DC was a Broyles Award finalist this year after leading a defense that held 11 of its 13 opponents under 20 points.

Banks has been at Tennessee since Josh Heupel’s first season in 2021.
