The Titans are loading up on the offensive line, NFL insider Ian Rapoport said today.

Tennessee reportedly agreed to terms with Pittsburgh Steelers left tackle Dan Moore on a 4-year, $82 million deal.

It will include $50 million guaranteed and $30 million in the first year, Rapoport said.

“The deal done by Jeff Nalley of CAA is the biggest for a tackle thus far.”

Looks like the Titans are not afraid to spend some money when it comes to fixing this offensive line. This is a large amount of guaranteed money.

Makes sense, as the o-line has been a glaring weakness for the team over the past couple seasons. But are they overspending?

Does this mean the Titans are gearing up to draft a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft?

Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, the o-line needed work. But you wouldn’t want your potential franchise rookie quarterback running for his life either.

So perhaps this will bode well for the Titans drafting Cam Ward.

This move could mean that JC Latham slides over to right tackle for Tennessee, thus improving two spots on the offensive line.

Now that right tackle is (potentially) fixed, the Titans will have to decide whether they want to bring in a quality edge rusher or ignite some energy into the fan base with a new QB.
