‘That’s My Heart:’ Zakai Zeigler Discusses His Mom In Post-Game

By Cody McClure

Tennessee Basketball had a superb weekend in taking down blueblood UCLA on Saturday.

The Vols advanced past the Bruins in the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a 67-58 victory.

Senior point guard Zakai Zeigler spoke with the media after the game and detailed how important his mom is to him.

“She texts me every single day. Every morning. She always tells me she’s praying for me,” Zeigler said. “She loves me. She wants me to do better. That’s my heart, you know. I love her to death. She’s there for me no matter what [whether] I’m doing good or doing bad.

“She’s always going to have my back, no matter what.”

There’s no love like a mother’s love. That’s what they say.

Heartwarming.
