Tennessee Releases Helmet Sticker for Helene Victims

By Tucker Harlin

Tennessee announced earlier this week it would wear stickers on the back of helmets to support those in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina who were directly impacted by the flooding of Hurricane Helene.

The helmet reads “Mountain Strong” with a circular illustration of the Smoky Mountains in between.

In addition to the decals, the university is also placing QR codes in areas at athletics events to spread awareness and encourage donation to organizations helping those in need.

These organizations include East Tennessee Foundation, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, and One SC.
