Tennessee Hosting 5-Star Prospect Tonight Vs. Kentucky

Tennessee and Kentucky meet for the 240th time on the hardwood tonight.
It goes without saying that it’s a huge game. Nearly every game in the SEC is huge.
Both teams are ranked in the Top 12, and thus, it’s giving Quad 1 opportunity.
But for Tennessee it’s also huge in terms of the future, as the Vols will host a five-star prospect at the Food City Center.
Nate Ament, a small forward, is on an unofficial visit tonight.
The 6-foot-9, 185-pound Ament is the top remaining uncommitted player in the class of 2025, according to VolQuest. He’s ranked No. 4 nationally, No. 2 among small forwards, and No. 1 in the state of Virginia.
Ament is a true program changer.
The hope is that tonight Thompson-Boling will be rocking. We need to really show off, not just for this guy, but for the nation.
You’ve gotta think beating Kentucky on a national stage is still a big deal to recruits, too.
Ament took an official visit to Tennessee in October and has also visited the likes of Louisville, Notre Dame, and Texas.
It will be a competition when it comes to landing his services. He’s still slated for a trip to Duke on Saturday and later to Kansas State.
TBAatFCC needs to be an absolute madhouse tonight.
“They have Chaz Lanier this year and then Dalton Knecht last year,” Ament told On3. “So they like to have a shooter come in, and I’d like to consider myself a shooter. So being able to come in and be that guy because, Chaz is leaving next year, so that’s great.”
