Tennessee hosts rival Kentucky tonight in a big-time matchup between Top 15 teams.
The Cats got some bad news with the recent injury report.
Kentucky will be without senior guard Lamont Butler for tonight’s game.
Butler has started 17 games for the Cats this season and averages 13.2 points and nearly five assists per game.
He’s a key piece for Kentucky.
Butler has been dealing with a shoulder injury recently.
Head coach Mark Pope said after Saturday's loss to Vanderbilt that Butler was not 100 percent.
"Lamont, he's got a lot right now. We all know what a warrior he is," Pope said. "He is giving us everything he's got right now. But it's hard for him, physically, right now."
Butler was a force in the Cats’ win over Florida in January — scoring 19 points. He also had 32 against Butler earlier in the season.
Tonight’s game tips at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
