Slaughter, Nichols Captains for Arkansas Saturday

#4 Tennessee (5-0, 1-0) heads west to face Arkansas (3-2, 1-1) in Fayetteville Saturday.

One of the most intriguing storylines ahead of the weekend is the two Tennessee transfers who now start for the Hogs, center Addison Nichols and defensive back Doneiko Slaughter.

Arkansas announced its captains for the game on Thursday and both Nichols and Slaughter are among the four captains.

Nichols was the first four star plus recruit the Vols landed in Josh Heupel’s tenure, but he was unable to work his way onto the field with Cooper Mays in the role.

Unlike Nichols, Slaughter saw the field a considerable amount in his four years at Tennessee. Slaughter had 81 tackles, a pair of sacks, and an interception in his time as a Vol. So far, Slaughter has 17 tackles, three passes defended, and an interception for Arkansas,
