RIP To Dolly Parton’s Husband, Carl Thomas Dean

Thinking of a sad Dolly Parton makes me feel sad, as well.

Unfortunately Dolly’s husband, Carl Thomas Dean, died yesterday at the age of 82.

“Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years,” Dolly posted on her Instagram page.

Dean was a notably private man, rarely appearing anywhere his picture could be taken. Quite the opposite of his love.

Dolly had previously described him as “kind of a loner” who didn’t like being with anybody but her, according to today.com.

“We’re different people,” she told Entertainment Tonight a couple years ago. “But we just work so well together.”

Dolly said Carl was always supportive of her and proud to be with her for so long.

“He’s a good man, and we’ve had a good life and he’s been a good husband.”

RIP to Carl Thomas Dean.
