Did you know this stat about Rick Barnes?
Mike Wilson of the Knoxville News Sentinel posted an interesting nugget about Tennessee’s head basketball coach earlier today.
The Vols have been ranked in the AP Top 5 a total of 34 times under Barnes.
What’s significant about that is before Barnes was hired, Tennessee had accomplished that Top 5 feat only 17 times.
In. Program. History. 17 times.
Barnes teams have done it twice as many times as every other coach in UT history combined.
That’s pretty impressive.
