Peyton Manning Was A Bright Spot Of Saturday Night Live
By Cody McClure
Saturday Night Live had a big weekend.
The long-running NBC sketch comedy show celebrated its 50th anniversary over the weekend.
The show got mixed reviews. Some said it wasn’t memorable. Others said it wasn’t funny. SNL is no stranger to criticism, of course.
But one highlight, most would agree, was Peyton Manning’s involvement.
Manning joked about retirement while doing a Q&A session with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
“Lorne [Michaels], never retire,” Manning said. "It's brutal out here. They have you doing all these commercials. Insurance, beer. I did one the other day for something called, 'Fan Fight Power Monster 3.' I don't even know what the heck that is! I just assumed it was a video game, but then in the last voice-over I said, 'Now, in diet chili flavor.' I hate being retired.
"No seriously Lorne, getting old sucks. You feel like such a loser."
