We know as of Monday that Nico Iamaleava is officially headed to UCLA.
So it’s over. Finally. No more UCLA talk. Right?
Wrong. Now it appears that Tennessee is interested in UCLA’s quarterback — who is transferring because of Nico’s arrival.
What a deal this would be. To just straight up trade QBs with the Bruins.
It’s possible, according to ESPN’s Max Olson.
“Tennessee is expected to have interest in UCLA QB Joey Aguilar when he officially enters the portal later today,” Olson said.
Olson’s fellow ESPN insider Chris Low added that the two sides are slated have talks later today.
Joey Aguilar. To the Vols. Possibly.
Very interesting. Would we be getting the short end of this deal or could Aguilar be better than Nico?
The UCLA quarterback hasn’t actually taken a snap for UCLA in a game.
He played at Appalachian State last season, where he threw for just over 3,000 yards and 23 touchdowns.
