Is Tennessee The No. 1 Team In College Softball?

Based on this week’s poll, yes.

The Softball America Top 25 rankings have a new No. 1.

After sweeping Auburn over the weekend the Lady Vols have catapulted all the way to the top.

Tennessee has a 37-9 record on the season with road series wins at No. 3 Texas and No. 5 Oklahoma.

Both of those teams were inside the Top 2 at the time of defeat by the Lady Vols.

Texas A&M comes in at No. 2 in this week’s poll, just ahead of Texas, Florida State, and Oklahoma.

Arkansas, which gave Tennessee its only series loss, comes in at No. 6.

The Lady Vols take on 19th-ranked Ole Miss this weekend in Oxford.
