Like seemingly everything else on Cumberland Avenue that once was, the Taco Bell is gone.
The area surrounding the restaurant had been zoned off for the last several days as it appeared there would be more construction going on.
Baja Blast enthusiasts had hoped it was just a remodeling.
It was not.
Or maybe they’re rebuilding it? IDK. But it’s gone.
As of this afternoon, the Cumberland Avenue Taco Bell is gone.

Will anything survive in this new world?
As the high rises continue to go up, the old staples continue to fall.
It’s sad. But change is inevitable.
Perhaps there will fun, new spots for the kids one of these days.
