Local Baseball Field Could Be Renamed For Morgan Wallen

Morgan Wallen Field?

It could be coming at Gibbs High School.

The baseball field at the school could soon be named after arguably its most famous graduate.

Wallen played for Gibbs back in the day before graduating in 2011.

Since then of course he has become one of the most popular artists in the world of country music.

The Gibbs principal Jason Webster reportedly submitted the nomination to rename the field back in October.

He wrote that Wallen would like to make a $1.2 million contribution to the athletic facilities at Gibbs.

If the nomination is approved Gibbs’ baseball complex will be named “Morgan Wallen Field.”
