Lady Vols Pound Texas A&M In SEC Tournament

It was a slow start that culminated into an easy finish.

The Lady Vols destroyed Texas A&M 77-37 in the SEC Women’s Tournament in Greenville, S.C. on Wednesday afternoon.

UT actually trailed 13-11 at the end of the first quarter but cruised after that.

It was 32-19 at halftime in favor of the Lady Vols and 60-28 at the end of the third quarter. Tennessee finished the third quarter on a 17-0 run.

Talaysia Cooper led UT with 19 points.

Tennessee will play Vanderbilt tomorrow afternoon.

I mean, what a response. After the worst week of the year and a horrible first quarter, this Tennessee team has dug deep and produced arguably its best 20 minutes since UConn, maybe beyond that.

Shooting is good, defense incredible, everything is working for UT.
