Konanbanny Chooses Vols over Florida State
By Tucker Harlin
Tennessee received a commitment from 2025 four star corner Onis Konanbanny out of Columbia, SC Thursday.
The Vols and Florida State were Konanbanny’s top two choices, and he ultimately decided to come to Knoxville.
Konanbanny’s background is a unique one for a college football player.
Konanbanny is originally from France and spent time in London before he moved to the U.S. two years ago. He spent most of his time in Europe playing soccer.
Konanbanny is the first recruit from South Carolina in Tennessee’s 2025 class, but he is one of six secondary recruits the staff has landed.
At corner, Konanbanny joins teammates Dylan Lewis and Tyler Redmond from the Atlanta area and Tre Poteat from Wisconsin.
Safeties Lagonza “Shaedy” Hayward from southern Georgia and Sidney Walton from the Birmingham area are the other pieces the staff has landed.
