Friday night we will see the most important game in the entirety of the Tennessee-Kentucky series.

The Vols and ‘Cats meet on the court for the 186th time with a trip to the Elite 8 on the line.

Everything is riding on this basketball game. And somebody’s going to end up disappointed.

Kentucky guard Lamont Butler is getting the trash talk started early.

“We’re just battle tested, throughout this whole conference,” Butler said after UK beat Illinois. “Conference was a beast … We had a lot of good teams that we played but we stayed resilient, stayed together. It showed today. Everybody was playing with love and passion for one another and we can’t focus about anything but the next game. We just have a lot of love.”

“And we’re going to win that game.”

Butler averages just over 11 points per game. He did not play in the first game against Tennessee this season but did add a whopping SIX points in the second meeting.
