This year’s basketball team keeps on making history and Jahmai Mashack has been a big part of that for the Vols.
The Tennessee senior guard played in his eighth NCAA Tournament victory on Saturday.
That is a program record for UT.
Mashack also is currently tied with Wayne Chism for the most NCAA Tournament game appearances by a UT player.
He’s appeared in 11 tournament games.
Tennessee takes on Kentucky in the Sweet 16 on Friday night. The Vols and ‘Cats have met a total of 185 times since 1938 but this will be the very first time in the NCAA Tournament.
The stakes couldn’t be higher.
If Tennessee wins, this year’s squad will become the first UT team ever to post at least 30 wins while also advancing to an Elite 8.
