It Should Come As No Surprise That Joe Lunardi Has Bumped Tennessee

By Cody McClure

We’re officially down to the 2-line.

This is unsurprising news after last night’s 78-76 loss at Ole Miss.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi updated his bracketology to reflect Tennessee’s drop to a 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament.

We’re there on the 2-line along with Alabama, Michigan State, and Texas Tech.

The No. 1 seeds are now Auburn, Duke, Houston, and Florida (yuck).

I suppose the good news is that Tennessee is the TOP 2-seed. So we’re not 100 percent out of the 1-seed conversation.

It’s quite unlikely at this point, but maybe if Florida were to lose to Ole Miss on Saturday and/or we perform exceptionally well in the SEC Tournament next week…

Who knows. Maybe there’s still a chance.

It would probably help to have a rubber match against the Gators in which we win.

As of now, Lunardi has us in the Midwest Region where Houston is slated as the No. 1 seed.
