Is Travis Hunter A Two-Way Player In The NFL?

Is a jack of all trades really a master of none?
The Tennessee Titans, holding the first overall pick and led by head coach Brian Callahan, certainly don’t think so.
The Colorado Buffaloes’ Travis Hunter is the best versatile two-way phenom the NFL has seen since his collegiate coach and mentor Deion Sanders.
And he’s doing everything he can to convince the National Football League that he has the skills necessary to help his team win on both sides of the ball.
Hunter played over 86 percent of the team's offensive snaps and 83 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in 2024.
He hauled in over 1200 yards and 15 receiving touchdowns while having 4 interceptions and 11 passes defended on defense, solidifying the argument that he was the rightful Heisman Trophy winner.
Titans coach Brian Callahan has answered to these questions about Hunter briefly saying he would be considered a cornerback and injected into the offense as a “weapon” when deemed necessary.
This ultimately seems like the best possibility for Hunter, who wants the ball in his hands.
Coach Prime, however, doesn't think it's logistically possible — recently saying “coaches won’t allow it because they can’t fathom what they can’t do themselves."
With almost every NFL coach having little to no experience managing a true two-way star, another question arises.
Could coach Sanders follow Travis Hunter to the league? The possibility is becoming more legitimate, considering how much Sanders sees Hunter as one of his own and has developed him into a potential first overall pick.
The only complication? The projected second overall pick happens to be Sanders’ actual son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
