Geno Auriemma Taunts Other Champions With Arrogant Comments

By Cody McClure

UConn and Geno Auriemma won their 12th national championship on Sunday by blowing out South Carolina.

It was a dominant NCAA Tournament from the Huskies, so credit to Geno for that, but now he’s out here arrogantly bloviating again.

"Most other places, if you win one national championship, they build a statue to you outside the building,” Auriemma said yesterday. “Here, they won't even let you get to the front of the bus."

I guess one national title isn’t much of an accomplishment these days.

South Carolina fans are not happy about Geno’s comments, as they feel the comments are directed toward them.

It’s certainly not the first time he’s said something bordering on rude.
