While the football program is stuck in a bind, the basketball program at least appeared to be on its way back up. That is until Friday afternoon.
University of Florida student newspaper The Alligator published a report that Gators basketball coach Todd Golden is involved in numerous sexual harassment allegations. The reports stem from various Title IX documents obtained by the newspaper.

The allegations aren’t limited to one criterium of sexual harassment; stalking, unwanted advances, and unsolicited photos are all a part of this situation.
The story is developing, but an abrupt coaching change weeks into the season would be a shock to the rest of the conference.
Florida took an important step forward last season as a program, reaching its first NCAA tournament in three seasons. Its dynamic offense was crucial in guiding it to the SEC tournament championship, Florida’s first appearance since 2014.
The Gators retained some of the key pieces from 2023-24 squad, including All-SEC preseason guard Walter Clayton and forward Alex Condon.
